Job summary

Trust Payments is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Technology department. This predominantly remote role, with occasional travel to Bangor, UK, focuses on maintaining and modernising mission-critical AWS-based services within PCI-DSS scope.

You will contribute to architectural design, ensure security and reliability, and mentor team members while working across a collaborative engineering environment.

Qualifications

• AWS services including VPC, EC2, ELB, RDS, S3, Lambda and Route53.
• Networking knowledge for cloud design and secure setups.
• Experience with shell scripting and configuration management strategies.
• Familiarity with Terraform and IaC concepts.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to architectural design and discovery work.
• Identify issues and propose realistic solutions.
• Improve reliability, performance, and security of systems.
• Resolve operational issues and provide long-term mitigations.
• Join an on-call rota (monthly).
• Mentor junior/mid-level colleagues; guide the team.
