Tradewind Recruitment is actively seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Specialist Remote Tutor to provide crucial one-to-one support for students with diverse Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the Hull area. This is a unique opportunity to directly impact the lives of young learners who require tailored educational and emotional support.

Our students often face significant barriers to learning, including Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. As a remote tutor, you will be the key to unlocking their potential, delivering bespoke academic sessions and fostering a positive relationship through an engaging online platform. Your role will involve more than just teaching; you will be a mentor, building trust and helping students re-engage with their education.

About the Role

This position is for an experienced professional who understands that education extends beyond the curriculum. Your responsibilities will include:

• Creating Custom Learning Plans: Developing and implementing individualised learning plans that are highly creative, engaging, and specifically designed to meet each student's unique needs and interests.

• Building a Strong Rapport: Establishing a safe and supportive virtual environment, using your expertise to build a strong rapport with students who may be anxious or disengaged from traditional schooling.

• Targeted Academic Support: Focusing on core subjects to address specific academic gaps and build foundational skills, ultimately helping students to regain confidence and make measurable progress.

• Consistent Communication: Providing regular and detailed feedback on student progress to parents, guardians, and our team, ensuring a collaborative approach to the student's success.
