Job summary

Stealth iT Consulting in the United Kingdom is seeking a talented Scala Developer to join our engineering team. You will design and build scalable, high-performance backend services and APIs using Scala and Play Framework.

You will work on modern distributed systems, implement REST endpoints, ensure quality with tests, and collaborate in an Agile environment with cross-functional teams. Remote work is supported.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience with Scala.
• Hands-on experience with Play Framework (2+ years).
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and JSON handling.
• Familiarity with unit/integration testing and modern test frameworks.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases and CI/CD basics.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Scala and Play Framework.
• Implement REST endpoints and authentication/authorization flows.
• Write idiomatic Scala and apply functional programming patterns.
• Build and maintain automated tests (unit/integration) and support test automation.
• Collaborate in an Agile environment and participate in code reviews and architecture discussions.
