Job summary

Version 1 seeks a Strategy & Advisory Principal to join the Transformation Design Group, guiding client transformation with senior leadership, shaping vision, and delivering outcomes. You will work across advisory, problem-solving and pre-sales, combining strategic thinking with hands-on delivery to unblock programmes and shape new opportunities across Version 1.

Qualifications

8+ years experience in consulting or equivalent senior advisory environment.
Deep expertise in at least one TDG discipline (e.g., product management, service design, user research, user-centred design, business analysis, change, analytics).
Confidence working with senior/executive stakeholders and ability to challenge constructively.
Ability to move between strategy and detail and create direction while collaborating with teams to progress.
Experience shaping opportunities, proposals and communicating a clear value story.
Commercial awareness balancing customer outcomes, delivery realities and growth.
Excellent written, facilitation and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders in public and private sectors.
Bring structure and clarity to complex problems, connecting strategy to execution.
Shape and lead advisory engagements and work packages across TDG capabilities.
Apply user-centred, evidence-led approaches balancing user needs and business goals.
Demonstrate how emerging technologies, including AI, can deliver value for clients.
Represent our thinking through client conversations, case studies and thought leadership.
Identify and shape opportunities with existing and new clients; articulate capabilities and outcomes.
