Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Principal/Associate coastal manager to lead UK projects within our Water Management Consultancy. You will mentor junior staff, supervise deliverables and collaborate with scientists, modellers, engineers and planners to deliver resilient coastal solutions.

The role emphasises flexible and remote work, strong technical leadership, and opportunities for business development while maintaining high standards across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering coastal projects with hydrodynamics.
• Ability to lead technical work and mentor juniors.
• Chartered status or equivalent in relevant field.
• Strong GIS, modelling and data analysis skills.
• Experience leading technical teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and workloads.

Responsibilities

• Lead coastal projects, support junior staff in geomorphology, hydrodynamics, flooding, reporting.
• QA delivers and mentor juniors in coastal management.
• Contribute to Coastal & Marine Environment network.
• Progress projects under your control and supervise junior resources.
• Develop scopes, costs, resources, and support project managers and directors.
• Collaborate with scientists, modellers, engineers and planners; manage workload.
• Assist business development, tendering and client engagement.
