Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks an Engineering Manager to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams across the UK and Europe. You will collaborate with clients and guide colleagues to deliver complex projects safely, on time and to a high standard of quality.

The role requires strong leadership, technical judgment, and a track record in regulated or energy-related industries, with a focus on design assurance and risk management. Flexible/hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a technical management role delivering multi-disciplinary engineering projects.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in regulated or energy-related industries.
• Ability to build trusted client and colleague relationships and motivate diverse teams.
• Sound technical judgement for delivery issues and risk management.
• Safety-focused with clear articulation of technical risk and project delivery.
• Understanding of Designer, Principal Designer and Principal Contractor roles under CDM.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams across the UK and Europe to deliver complex projects.
• Collaborate with clients, guide colleagues, and support an inclusive workplace.
• Ensure designs meet client technical requirements and project quality standards.
• Coordinate design assurance processes to meet project outcomes and safety requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and resolve conflicts between design and delivery.
• Assist in cost and schedule updates through engineering input to change processes.
