Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking an experienced Bid Manager to lead bids from qualification to contract award within the UK Power Transmission & Distribution business. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams across business development, pre-construction, operations, commercial, estimating and design to deliver compelling, compliant submissions.

Qualifications

• Experience leading bids from qualification to contract award.
• Experience managing competitive tenders and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong planning, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of public-sector procurement principles is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead bids from qualification through to contract award and handover.
• Develop bid strategies, win themes and delivery approaches with stakeholders.
• Build tender programmes, bid plans and submission activities.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to produce compliant submissions.
• Lead bid meetings, reviews and governance activities.
• Manage bid budgets, resources, risks and opportunities.
• Coordinate technical, commercial and operational input for a cohesive proposition.
• Ensure reviews are incorporated into submissions.
• Build relationships with customers, consultants and supply chain.
• Support customer presentations and wider engagement.
