CAF Rail UK is seeking a Business Development Manager to secure new business opportunities and manage end-to-end bids in the UK rail sector. The role blends strategic development with meticulous bid management to win contracts and grow CAF’s presence in rolling stock projects.

The ideal candidate will have deep UK rail knowledge, strong analytical and interpersonal skills, excellent project management, and proven commercial acumen.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field is desired.
• Strong understanding of the UK rail market, including regulatory requirements.
• Proven track record in managing complex bids and securing high-value contracts.
• Excellent project management and budgeting skills.

Mansioni

• Lead the bid management process from opportunity identification to submission and award.
• Develop winning strategies considering CAF's position relative to competition.
• Create and manage bid plans with timelines and deliverables.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across the UK and CAF SA to assemble bids.
• Ensure bids meet client specs and regulatory requirements; perform risk assessments.
• Prepare bid reviews and present approvals to the sales & commercial team.
• Identify and pursue UK rail opportunities, focusing on rolling stock projects.
• Build relationships with clients, partners, and industry bodies; represent CAF at events.
