Job summary

IPS Group Limited is seeking an experienced Personal Lines Property Claims Handler to join a remote team. You will manage a portfolio of claims from notification through to settlement, assessing policy coverage and validating costs while delivering professional, customer-focused service.

The role emphasizes technical claims handling, liaising with insurers and third parties, and ensuring regulatory compliance, with opportunities for professional development and advancement.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of home and landlord property insurance.
• Knowledge of policy wordings, coverage, exclusions and settlement processes.
• Experience liaising with loss adjusters, surveyors and contractors.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Regulatory awareness including FCA guidelines and Treating Customers Fairly.

Responsibilities

• Manage personal lines property claims from first notification to settlement.
• Assess policy coverage, exclusions and endorsements to determine claim validity.
• Investigate circumstances, validate costs and negotiate fair settlements.
• Liaise with policyholders, insurers, loss adjusters, surveyors, contractors and other third parties.
• Monitor property repairs and work with suppliers to support resolution.
• Identify potential fraudulent activity and escalate when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate claim records and ensure FCA compliance.
• Contribute to improving processes and customer experience.
