Job summary

Ethos is seeking experienced platform engineers to help train a leading language model on professional documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks. This role emphasizes reliability, incident-focused oversight, and high-quality automation practices, with a focus on blameless postmortems and improvement of on-call processes.

Fully remote, you can set your own schedule within 5-20 hours per week, ASAP start, compensation at $80 per hour.

Qualifications

• 4+ years as a Site Reliability Engineer, Incident Commander, or production/on-call engineering lead.
• Direct ownership of writing or reviewing blameless postmortems and root-cause analyses.
• Expert-level document, spreadsheet, and slide craftsmanship, with excellent written communication.

Responsibilities

• Create, evaluate, and refine AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks.
• Develop blameless postmortems and root-cause analyses.
• Prepare on-call runbooks, severity/escalation write-ups, SLO and error-budget reports, remediation trackers, and reliability decks.
