Job summary

Caliza seeks a technically adept, customer‑facing role to own payment issue investigations across fiat rails and blockchains. You’ll read logs, trace API calls, and explain findings clearly to customers, banks and engineers. You’ll build runbooks, automate repetitive tasks with SQL, and push for precise solutions.

You’ll work with partner banks, ensure compliance responses, and help scale operations as Caliza expands across Europe, Africa and Asia.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a technical, customer-facing role at a fintech, payments company, bank or API-first business.
• Solid understanding of payments workflows: statuses, settlement, cutoffs and recalls.
• Comfort reading JSON API requests, logs and webhooks.
• Working SQL and some scripting in Python.
• Ability to explain technical issues clearly to customers, banks or engineers.

Responsibilities

• Be the technical point of contact for payment problems across multiple rails.
• Trace payments end-to-end and communicate expected behavior vs. bugs to customers.
• Collaborate with partner banks and providers on investigations and recalls.
• Write SQL queries and scripts to automate repetitive work.
• Tag root causes to help fix common issues for good.
