Job summary

Quantum Solutions, a leader in advanced materials and imaging technologies, seeks an experienced Patent Attorney to own and manage our patent portfolio on a project basis. You will draft, file and respond to patent applications, guide deadlines, and work with CEO and project leads to align IP strategy with commercial goals.

You will leverage AI-enabled tools for research, drafting and analysis while upholding confidentiality and professional judgement in a fast-moving, lean business environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified UK Patent Attorney or equivalent qualification.
• Degree in STEM discipline (materials science, chemistry, physics or semiconductor).
• Experience using AI tools in patent research and drafting.
• Experience drafting and prosecuting complex patent applications in deep-tech fields.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop ongoing and future patent applications with CEO and project leads.
• Track deadlines, milestones, costs and required business actions.
• Draft applications, claims, descriptions and supporting materials for robust disclosures.
• Answer exam reports, office actions and search reports from patent offices.
• Identify patentable inventions with the technical team and translate concepts into disclosures.
• Utilize AI-enabled tools to support research, drafting, and workflow while ensuring confidentiality.
