Job summary

FM Conway Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to maintain electrical and mechanical plant across multiple Asphalt Plants in the UK. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding and improvements to keep plants running safely and efficiently.

The role requires a Level 3 electrical qualification, City & Guilds 2330 and 18th Edition, with driving licence essential due to site travel. HV qualifications would be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in an electrical discipline (essential).
• City & Guilds 2330 or equivalent required; 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Experience in manufacturing/industrial environments with fault-finding on electrical/mechanical plant.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance, inspections and reactive repairs on electrical and mechanical plant equipment.
• Diagnose faults and undertake electrical installations, repairs and improvements to minimise downtime.
• Ensure work complies with electrical regulations, permit to work systems and LOTOTO procedures.
• Maintain electrical compliance records and maintenance schedules.
• Support equipment installations, upgrades and commissioning projects.
• Collaborate with Plant Managers to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Travel between Asphalt Plant sites and respond to breakdowns as required.
• Supervise contractors and mentor apprentices and colleagues.
