Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our AI trainer team, where you will design complex engineering problems and write precise, step-by-step solutions to benchmark AI learning. You will critically audit AI outputs for accuracy and safety, covering areas from FEA to thermodynamics, and ensure alignment with engineering standards.

The role is a remote, hourly contract with flexible hours (10–40 hours per week) and potential for ongoing work across a global network of experts.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or closely related field).
• Strong fundamentals in solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, CAD/CAM, or manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Design Complex Engineering Problems across FEA, heat transfer, kinematics, fluid dynamics, and material science to test AI.
• Author ground-truth solutions with precise, step-by-step reasoning for benchmarking AI learning.
• Audit AI reasoning for CAD logic, thermodynamic proofs, and material specs to ensure technical accuracy and safety.
