Job summary

DWF is recruiting a Solicitor for the Major Injury & Casualty team, primarily based in Birmingham, with flexibility for remote working. You will own your own multi‑track RTA and personal injury files, mainly defendant cases under £100,000, and work closely with insurers and clients.

The role requires meticulous drafting, handling pleadings, preparing reports for clients, attending hearings, meeting court deadlines, and building strong internal and external relationships to support the firm’s

Qualifications

2+ years PQE within litigation Multi Track cases.
Technically experienced in RTA, Motor or Personal Injury.
Ideally experienced handling high value defendant files either in your own right, or as an assistant to more senior team members.
Familiar with working in a commercial environment.
Defendant experience.

Responsibilities

Managing your own caseload of multi track claims, comprising defendant major injury cases, mainly RTA and personal injury.
Drafting pleadings, reports to clients, attending court hearings, working to court deadlines, liability investigations, gathering evidence, instructing experts and considering interesting medical causation issue.
Prioritising work effectively and to maximise efficiency in working practices, adhering to court deadlines and directions, as well as the client's service level agreements.
Building working relationships internally and externally in order to develop business networks and create a solid understanding of the Firm’s direction and client needs.
