Job summary

Made Tech invites a Lead Security Engineer to shape security across engagements for UK government and public sector projects. You will define secure-by-default reference architectures, embed threat modelling, and drive vulnerability remediation within delivery teams.

You’ll work with client leads, platform teams, and senior stakeholders to balance security and delivery speed, applying CAF, Cyber Essentials, and HMG PSPF guidance to enable safe, scalable systems.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and building secure cloud architectures at scale.
• Experience embedding security tooling and automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficient in at least one programming/scripting language for production-grade tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical security architecture across engagements.
• Lead vulnerability remediation as an engineering programme.
• Embed threat modelling and secure coding practices into design and delivery cycles.
• Align with UK government security standards (CAF, Cyber Essentials, HMG PSPF).
• Communicate security risk to senior stakeholders and drive engineering decisions.
