Job summary

Vantage Research is seeking a Senior/Lead Scientist - QSP Modeler to drive the design, development, and application of multi-scale mechanistic PK/PD and QSP models. The role spans Oncology, Immunology & Inflammation, Neuro/Ophthalmology, and Metabolic diseases, with remote work options in EU/UK.

Qualifications

• PhD in a quantitative discipline (Engineering, Math, Physics, Computational Biology, Pharmacometrics) or related field.
• 3+ years (senior) or 5+ years (lead) in mechanistic PK/PD or QSP modeling in pharma/biotech/CRO.
• Strong experience with ODE-based modeling and simulation using Matlab/Python/R/Julia.
• Experience in virtual population generation, parameter estimation, nonlinear dynamics, sensitivity analysis.
• Desirable: modeling complex biologics or novel modalities; ability to lead client-facing scientific work.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development and implementation of mechanistic PK/PD and QSP models across therapeutic areas.
• Drive modeling strategy, core biological assumptions, and quantitative frameworks for drug development questions.
• Apply modeling to modalities including TCEs, ADCs, mRNA/LNP, and virtual populations.
• Design simulations to inform dose selection, biomarker strategy, and trial design.
• Mentor junior scientists and contribute to client engagements and scientific pitches.
