Job summary

Pharmaron in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire, seeks a Principal Scientist to lead PK/PD modelling across drug discovery and development, shaping strategies and client interactions.

You will build exposure–response models, translate results into actionable decisions, mentor teams, and advance quantitative pharmacology capabilities across global projects.

This role offers collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and opportunities to publish scientific work and contribute to PMx innovation.

Qualifications

• BSc or higher in a quantitative/scientific discipline.
• Significant industry PK/PD modelling and simulation experience.
• Knowledge of compartments, exposure–response, and disease progression modelling.

Responsibilities

• Lead PK/PD modelling programmes, including design, execution, interpretation and communication.
• Define and implement PK/PD strategy with global teams.
• Develop fit-for-purpose models integrating PK with biomarkers and efficacy endpoints.
• Translate modelling outputs into recommendations for candidate selection and dose planning.
• Mentor scientists in PK/PD modelling and quantitative pharmacology.
