Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Lead Grid Integration Engineer to join a fully remote team. You will lead the design and analyses for the integration of renewable energy assets into the grid, developing robust models and strategies to ensure stability and reliability.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Power Systems.
• 8–10 years of power systems engineering experience, focused on grid integration of renewables.
• Strong knowledge of dynamics, stability, fault studies, and protection principles.
• Experience with power system simulation tools (PSS/E, PowerFactory, PSCAD).

Responsibilities

• Lead design and analysis of grid integration solutions for renewable energy projects (solar, wind, battery storage).
• Develop and validate power system models to assess grid stability and power quality.
• Perform dynamic simulations and contingency analyses to identify impacts and mitigation strategies.
• Define technical requirements for grid connections and protection schemes.
• Collaborate with utility grid operators, developers, and equipment manufacturers.
• Provide guidance on grid codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor a team of grid integration engineers and specialists.
• Contribute to grid modernization, flexibility, and resilience initiatives.
• Review and approve study reports, design specs, and commissioning plans.
