Job summary

Salvation Army Housing Association (saha) is seeking a Junior Building Compliance Manager on a 6-month fixed term to support safe, compliant housing across the UK. You will report to the Compliance M&E Manager within the Asset Team and lead a team of Compliance Officers to uphold governance and resident safety.

You will oversee gas, electrical, fire safety, water hygiene, asbestos, lifting equipment and other building safety duties, coordinating with regulators, contractors, and internal teams

Qualifications

• Proven experience in building compliance and asset management.
• Experience supervising teams delivering statutory compliance across residential properties.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with stakeholders and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Compliance Officers, providing supervision, coaching, and performance management.
• Deliver statutory compliance programmes across gas, electrical, fire safety, water hygiene, asbestos, lifting equipment, and building safety.
• Drive continuous improvement in compliance performance, processes, and reporting.
• Coordinate inspections, remedial works, and compliance initiatives with contractors and regulators.
• Monitor, audit, and report on compliance performance, identifying risks and areas for improvement.
