Job summary

Sellick Partnership is recruiting for an experienced Building Safety & Compliance Manager to join a leading social housing organisation on an interim basis in Hertfordshire, UK. The role involves leading on compliance, assurance and risk management across a varied residential property portfolio.

The successful candidate will manage fire safety, ensure regulatory reporting, and develop a specialist building safety team, with close liaison to residents and contractors.

Qualifications

• Experience managing building safety and fire safety within social housing or similar residential environment.
• Strong knowledge of Building Safety Act 2022 and Fire Safety Order.
• Qualification to degree level in a related field or equivalent experience.

• Lead delivery of building and fire safety compliance across residential housing stock.
• Develop and maintain Building Safety Cases and assurance processes.

Building Safety & Compliance Manager

Up to £500 per day, 3 Months Temporary to Permanent

Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an experienced Building Safety & Compliance Manager to join a leading social housing organisation on an interim basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for a building safety professional to lead on compliance, assurance and risk management across a varied residential property portfolio, including higher-risk and high-rise residential buildings.

Key Responsibilities of Building Safety, Fire and Compliance Manager

• Lead the delivery of building and fire safety compliance across residential housing stock
• Develop and maintain Building Safety Cases and associated assurance processes
• Oversee the Golden Thread of building safety information and regulatory reporting requirements
• Manage fire risk assessment programmes and remedial action plans
• Work closely with residents, contractors, consultants and regulatory bodies to promote a strong safety culture
• Provide strategic advice on building safety, fire safety and compliance matters
• Lead and develop a specialist building safety team
• Monitor compliance performance, safety risks and improvement programmes across the housing portfolio

The Successful Building Safety Candidate Will Have

• Experience managing building safety and fire safety within social housing, local government or a similar residential environment
• Strong knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Order and associated legislation
• Experience developing safety case reports and managing higher-risk buildings
• A construction, surveying, building safety or compliance-related qualification to degree level or equivalent experience
• Experience managing contractors, consultants and compliance programmes

Desirable Experience

• NEBOSH qualification
• Knowledge of Northgate, Keystone or similar housing management systems
• Experience working with Building Safety Regulator requirements and resident engagement strategies
