Job summary

Salvation Army Homes is seeking a Junior Building Compliance Manager on a 6-month fixed term basis to lead a national portfolio of housing assets, ensuring safety, compliance and responsible asset management across the UK.

You will manage a team of Compliance Officers within the Asset Team, drive statutory programmes (gas, electrical, fire safety, water hygiene, asbestos, lifting equipment, building safety), report on performance, and partner with contractors and regulators to uphold resident

Qualifications

• Experience supervising teams and delivering statutory compliance programmes across residential properties.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in gas, electrical, fire safety, water hygiene, asbestos and building safety.
• Knowledge of Building Safety Act and UK housing regulation.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Compliance Officers with supervision and coaching.
• Deliver statutory compliance programmes across the housing portfolio.
• Drive continuous improvement in compliance performance and reporting.
• Coordinate inspections, remedial works with contractors and regulators.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, standards, policies through monitoring and risk management.
• Monitor and report on performance, identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Promote culture of compliance and resident safety across the organisation.
