Job summary

Ethos is seeking bilingual Japanese-English translators and localization specialists to train their AI language model on professional documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks. The role requires 4+ years of professional translation or cross-cultural business experience to create, evaluate, and refine AI-generated content across core workflows including business and legal translation review and glossary management.

Position is fully remote with flexible hours (5–20 per week) and ASAP start.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in professional Japanese-English translation, localization, or bicultural business communications
• Native or near-native fluency in Japanese with experience reviewing high-stakes Japanese-language materials
• Expert-level document, spreadsheet, and slide craftsmanship with excellent written communication and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Create, evaluate, and refine AI-generated Japanese-English documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks across core workflows
• Conduct business and legal translation reviews and localization QA
• Manage terminology, glossaries, and bilingual client-facing materials with cultural-context and etiquette assessments
