Job summary

Elevate is seeking an experienced Data Privacy Lawyer for a 6-month interim contract on a fully remote UK basis. You will advise on UK GDPR and international data protection matters, draft privacy provisions in contracts, and support privacy risk assessments and data governance initiatives.

The role requires in-house experience preferably within technology/SaaS or data-driven environments, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global setting.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with significant Data Privacy / Data Protection experience.
• Strong knowledge of GDPR and international privacy regulations.
• Experience drafting and negotiating privacy-related contractual provisions.
• In-house experience preferred, ideally within technology/SaaS or data-driven environments.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience across technology, cloud, AI, international data transfers and/or information security would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on data privacy and data protection matters across multiple jurisdictions.
• Draft, review and negotiate privacy-related provisions in commercial agreements (DPAs, vendor contracts, customer terms).
• Advise on GDPR and international data protection requirements.
• Support privacy risk assessments, data incidents, regulatory inquiries and data governance initiatives.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Information Security and business stakeholders on privacy projects.
