Job summary

Elevate is seeking an experienced Data Privacy Lawyer for a 6-month interim contract on a fully remote basis in the UK. The role involves advising on UK GDPR and international data protection matters, drafting privacy provisions in commercial agreements, and supporting privacy risk assessments within a global tech environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with significant Data Privacy / Data Protection experience.
• Strong knowledge of GDPR and international privacy regulations.
• Experience drafting and negotiating privacy-related contractual provisions.
• Previous in-house experience preferred, ideally within a technology/SaaS environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on data privacy and data protection matters across multiple jurisdictions.
• Draft, review and negotiate privacy-related provisions in commercial agreements, including DPAs, vendor contracts and customer-facing terms.
• Advise on GDPR and wider international data protection requirements.
• Support privacy risk assessments, data incidents, regulatory enquiries and data governance initiatives.
• Work closely with Legal, Compliance, Information Security and business stakeholders on privacy projects and strategic initiatives.
