Job summary

Elevate is seeking an experienced Data Privacy Lawyer for a 6-month interim contract fully remote in the UK. You will advise on UK GDPR, GDPR, and international privacy matters, drafting and negotiating privacy provisions in commercial agreements, and supporting privacy risk assessments across multiple jurisdictions.

The role requires strong stakeholder management, the ability to work independently in a fast-paced tech environment, and experience in tech, cloud, AI, or information security

Qualifications

• Experience in data privacy and data protection law.
• Experience drafting and negotiating privacy provisions in contracts.
• In-house experience in a technology/SaaS environment preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with international data transfers and information security is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on data privacy and data protection across jurisdictions.
• Draft, review and negotiate privacy provisions in commercial agreements (DPAs, vendor contracts, customer terms).
• Advise on GDPR and international data protection requirements.
• Support privacy risk assessments, data incidents, regulatory inquiries, and governance initiatives.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Information Security and business stakeholders on privacy projects.
