Job summary

Elevate Legal Talent is seeking an experienced Data Privacy Lawyer for a 6-month interim contract, fully remote in the UK. You will advise on data privacy matters across multiple jurisdictions within a fast-moving technology environment.

The role requires strong knowledge of GDPR and international data protection rules, drafting privacy provisions in contracts, and collaborating across Legal, Compliance and Information Security teams to drive privacy initiatives.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with significant data privacy experience.
• Strong knowledge of GDPR and international privacy regulations.
• Experience drafting and negotiating privacy-related contractual provisions.
• In-house experience preferred, ideally in tech/SaaS environments.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on data privacy and data protection across jurisdictions.
• Draft, review and negotiate privacy-related provisions in commercial agreements (DPAs, vendor contracts, customer terms).
• Advise on GDPR and international data protection requirements.
• Support privacy risk assessments, data incidents, regulatory inquiries and governance initiatives.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance and Information Security teams on privacy projects.
