Job summary

Argyll and Bute Council is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Adviser to join the ER Team on a full-time basis. You will provide practical, professional advice to managers and employees across discipline, grievance, performance, absence and conditions of service, including fact-finding for disciplinary cases.

You will be involved in organisational change, job evaluation and TUPE, with travel across Argyll and Bute and some hybrid/remote working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Experience advising managers and employees on discipline, grievance and performance matters.
• Knowledge of TUPE, organisational change and job evaluation.
• Able to travel throughout Argyll and Bute.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical HR guidance across a broad range of ER matters.
• Conduct fact-finding for disciplinary cases and present findings at meetings.
• Support absence management and conditions of service.
