Job summary

Harbor is seeking a Data Migration and Integration Consultant to join our HR and payroll transformation practice. This remote UK role focuses on moving client data into SAP SuccessFactors, Workday or Oracle HCM and building integrations to keep platforms connected.

You will lead data migration workstreams from strategy through go-live, define load sequencing, profile data quality, design mappings, and reconcile data across multiple test cycles. Travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Proven data migration experience into SAP SuccessFactors, Workday or Oracle HCM across multiple full lifecycle projects.
• Hands-on experience with ETL tooling and transforming large, imperfect datasets.
• Strong understanding of HR and payroll data structures and data privacy considerations.
• Clear communicator able to speak with both technical teams and HR stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver data migration workstreams from strategy to go live and hypercare.
• Define migration approaches, including data object scoping, load sequencing and cutover plans.
• Profile legacy data quality, identify gaps and coordinate cleansing ownership with clients.
• Design and maintain mapping and transformation rules between legacy sources and target systems.
• Build, execute and reconcile data loads across test cycles and production cutover.
• Produce validation reporting to ensure accuracy and completeness of migrated data.
• Advise clients on data retention, archiving and historical records handling.
• Gather and document integration requirements across HR, payroll, benefits and vendors.
• Create integration designs covering data flows, transformation logic, error handling and security.
• Build, test and deploy integrations using platform tooling and middleware.
• Support end-to-end testing and parallel payroll runs; resolve defects across systems.
• Define monitoring and support processes to sustain integrations post go-live.
• Advise on integration architecture and trade-offs between point-to-point, middleware and file-based approaches.
• Use ETL tooling to extract, transform and load data at scale; develop repeatable routines.
• Automate validation checks to reduce cycle times and manual effort.
• Contribute to practice accelerators and reusable migration assets.
• Act as the trusted technical voice and translate data issues for HR stakeholders.
• Support proposals, scoping and estimation for migration and integration workstreams.
• Coach junior consultants and share knowledge across the team.
