Job summary

Your Jared is seeking a Health and Safety Consultant to provide expert guidance and delivery of health and safety services from a home-based setup with national travel and occasional overseas trips. The role focuses on risk assessments, policy development, training delivery, and client advisory services.

The successful candidate will conduct audits, produce reports, support CPD activities, and manage relationships with retained clients, while ensuring compliance with IOSH/CMIOSH CPD requirements

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in a relevant discipline.
• CMIOSH or working towards CMIOSH within a defined timeframe.
• NEBOSH Fire Management and Fire Risk Assessment qualifications or equivalent.
• City and Guilds Water Responsible Person qualification or equivalent.
• Awareness of HTMs content and related guidance.
• Competent in Microsoft Office (Office 365).
• Strong business English, reasoning and logical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional health and safety consultancy to client organisations with emphasis on fire safety and means of escape.
• Produce written reports, risk assessments, and health and safety policies.
• Conduct audits of client premises and activities with practical compliance recommendations.
• Identify training needs and deliver health and safety sessions.
• Support internal CPD and share knowledge with colleagues.
• Investigate incidents and advise on reporting requirements under RIDDOR.
• Manage client relationships and develop proposals for retention and growth.
• Deliver a full health and safety training portfolio and manage small retained clients.
