Job summary

Gallagher is seeking a Health, Safety & Fire Risk Consultant to join our Risk Management Solutions team. This largely home-based consultancy role involves visiting client sites, audits, inspections, and fire risk assessments across the UK, with flexible diary management and support from an expert team.

You’ll identify risks, review controls, and provide practical recommendations, while producing clear reports and staying compliant with health & safety legislation.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate or Construction Certificate or equivalent health & safety qualification.
• Level 6 qualification (NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 6) or actively working towards one.
• Experience carrying out audits, inspections or advisory work.
• Strong client-facing skills and the ability to build relationships.
• Experience producing clear reports and communicating recommendations.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Practical, solution-focused approach to risk management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct health & safety audits, inspections and compliance reviews.
• Complete fire risk assessments and review fire safety arrangements.
• Identify risks and evaluate existing controls.
• Provide practical recommendations that support positive change.
• Produce clear, professional reports and action plans.
• Advise clients on health & safety legislation and good practice.
• Support organisations to strengthen their risk management approach.
• Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders.
• Manage your own projects, workload and client appointments.
• Work closely with Gallagher colleagues to deliver an excellent client experience.
