Job summary

Howden, a global insurance group, seeks an Operations Director to lead the operating model, performance and business transformation. The role is senior leadership within a regulated insurance broking environment, with regular UK travel.

Reporting to the CEO/CFO, you will drive cost optimisation, governance and data-enabled decision making, while integrating acquisitions and maintaining client service. This role is remote with UK-wide travel.

Qualifications

• Proven senior operations leadership in a complex, matrixed org; ideally in insurance broking.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to translate strategy into operational delivery.
• Track record of delivering business transformation and operational improvement at scale.
• Highly developed data literacy to drive performance and decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end transformation with structured delivery and governance.
• Drive standardisation, productivity and cost optimisation across divisions.
• Embed data-led operating environment to monitor performance.
• Oversee integration of acquired businesses with minimal disruption.
• Establish KPIs, MI, and governance for service, quality and cost.
