Job summary

Twilio’s Presales Engineer, DACH, is a remote role (UK/Ireland/Spain). You will lead technical discovery, design architectures, demonstrate Twilio products, and drive the technical win for New Business and Strategic segments.

Collaborating with Account Executives, you’ll deliver compelling demonstrations, guide customers to optimal solutions, and mentor peers. A strong software background, REST APIs, cloud experience, and German language are required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years pre‑sales experience selling complex, technical products or 10+ years of professional experience supporting technical products with customer facing experience
• Excellent communicator and presenter able to gain audience confidence
• Engaging storyteller capable of conveying complex topics to multiple levels of audience
• Ability to build a deep understanding of a customer’s communications needs and guide them to a technical solution
• Previous software development experience or working knowledge in one or more: Backend (Java, C#, Node.js, Python, PHP); Web development (JavaScript, HTML/CSS, React/Vue/Angular); REST APIs

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives to execute pre‑sales activities including opportunity qualification, demonstrations, Proof‑of‑Concept, RFP, design documentation, technical presentations and enablement sessions
• Lead the technical and product sale, recommend best‑practice solutions, and guide customers on how to use Twilio’s APIs
• Establish yourself as a trusted advisor by uncovering customer technical pains and designing, demonstrating, and presenting innovative solutions
• Build and present highly interactive, complex and engaging product demonstrations to showcase Twilio’s capabilities and strengthen customer relationships
• Be hands‑on, high‑energy, and a creative problem solver who can lead others to success
• Identify and solve problems for both customer and organization as Twilio grows
• Contribute to the Presales Engineering community through knowledge sharing and reusable materials
• Mentor less experienced Presales Engineers
