Job summary

Agilent Technologies in Cheadle (Manchester, UK) is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to deliver high-level remote and on-site technical services for Gas Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry systems. You will join a 15-strong remote engineering team and occasionally visit customer sites for installations and repairs, focusing on reducing downtime and ensuring excellent service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master/PhD in Chemistry or Life Science
• Experience with chromatography techniques and MS in a lab setting
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong remote troubleshooting abilities
• Structured, detail‑oriented with good workload management

Responsibilities

• Provide reactive and proactive technical services for Agilent products
• Be part of a team of remote engineers based in Cheadle
• Perform remote troubleshooting on hardware, software and applications
• Drive issue resolution to maximise system uptime for customers
