Job summary

Personio seeks a Lead Systems Engineer for the Business Systems team. The role leads strategy, architecture, and hands-on development across Salesforce, Zendesk, CPQ, and AI-enhanced workflows. Reports to the Sr.

Lead Systems Engineering & Architecture and collaborates with stakeholders to scale internal systems. The candidate will mentor 5–10 Salesforce admins/developers, manage offshore vendors, and drive architecture across marketing and ERP integrations, delivering scalable solutions aligned

Qualifications

BS degree or equivalent experience in IT.
10+ years IT experience including SaaS architecture.
4+ years leading software teams.
5+ years architecting Salesforce solutions.
Handoffs to offshore vendors and integration experience.

Responsibilities

Lead and grow a team of 5–10 Salesforce admins and developers.
Manage offshore vendor relationships and integration into workflows.
Architect complex customizations across marketing apps and Salesforce Lead-to-Cash.
Develop scalable architectures and roadmaps.
Hands-on design, prototyping, and development tasks.
Conduct architectural reviews ensuring scalability and business fit.
Produce architecture artifacts and patterns as references.
Oversee AI tool evaluation to boost productivity.
