Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Category Manager for a prominent FMCG client. This fully remote role enables you to drive category strategy across snacks and beverages from anywhere.

You will develop and execute plans to boost sales, market share and profitability, using data-driven insights to shape assortment, pricing and promotions. You will collaborate with sales, marketing and supply chain, monitor performance, present to senior management, and identify growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of category management or FMCG experience.
• Proven track record of growing product categories.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and trends.
• Excellent understanding of consumer behavior, market dynamics, and retail strategies.
• Experience with snacks and beverages categories is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic category plans to achieve sales, market share, and profitability targets.
• Conduct in-depth market analysis, including competitor activity, consumer trends, and retail landscape assessments.
• Manage product assortment, introductions, and lifecycle within assigned categories.
• Develop and execute effective pricing and promotional strategies.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless execution of category plans.
• Monitor category performance and identify key drivers of success and areas for improvement.
• Analyze sales data and consumer insights to inform decision-making and strategic adjustments.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to champion category initiatives.
• Ensure alignment of category strategies with overall brand and company objectives.
• Present category performance reviews and strategic recommendations to senior management.
• Drive category growth across various retail channels in a remote capacity.
