Turnitin, a global education innovator, is seeking a Software Quality Engineer I to ensure high-quality applications and user experiences. You will design, execute, and maintain automated and manual tests, collaborating with product managers and developers in an Agile setting.

Responsibilities include test strategy, execution across platforms, defect management, and exploration of AI-powered testing tools to enhance coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of experience in software quality engineering.
• Hands-on experience in UI Web Automation and API Automation using established frameworks (Java, Python).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git).
• Familiarity with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and STLC concepts.
• Proactive in researching and integrating AI-driven testing capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, and implement quality assurance best practices and test strategies.
• Design, write, execute, and maintain automated and manual test cases across functional, regression, and integration tests.
• Collaborate with development teams to support code releases with functional validations.
• Investigate, triage, and track defects to closure.
• Identify quality risks early in the Agile cycle and propose mitigation plans.
• Explore modern QA tools and AI-driven testing to improve efficiency and coverage.
• Pursue ongoing professional growth in framework architecture and CI/CD pipelines.
