Job summary

Elsevier seeks a Quality Engineer to drive automation, performance testing, and quality engineering best practices across software projects. You will design test strategies, improve automation frameworks, and partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations to ensure delivery of high-quality software on time.

You will work with Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript) and REST Assured for API testing, while applying root-cause analysis and risk-based testing to elevate overall product quality and

Qualifications

• Experience applying test strategy and test-case design across software projects.
• Ability to manage defects and drive risk-based testing in delivery cycles.
• Proven skills in performance and non-functional testing with measurable quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute automated and performance tests to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Collaborate with Product, Project, Engineering and Ops to plan testing for products and enhancements.
• Plan and execute automated and performance tests with QA and technical leads.
• Identify root causes, document issues, and verify fixes across complex environments.
• Research and implement testing tools and capabilities to cost-effectively improve quality.
