Job summary

ShortList Recruitment Limited in Chester is seeking a Support Developer to join a growing fintech SaaS business delivering cloud-based technology to financial services clients.

You will troubleshoot production systems and APIs, interact with clients, and contribute to bug fixes, platform improvements, and internal tooling while collaborating with engineering and operations to maintain stability. This role offers hybrid remote work with occasional travel to Chester and surrounding offices.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an Application Support or similar role.
• Experience supporting modern web applications and REST APIs.
• Commercial experience with Node.js and MySQL.
• Experience with React or Gatsby is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve production and integration issues across web applications and APIs.
• Act as a technical point of contact for clients, supporting investigations and resolving technical queries.
• Monitor application logs, alerts and operational tooling to identify root causes of issues.
• Contribute to bug fixing, platform improvements and operational support tooling.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations and external stakeholders to maintain platform stability and service quality.
• Support testing, deployments and ongoing maintenance activities across the platform.
