Job summary

XPATE is seeking a System Analyst to bridge business needs with engineering execution in a fintech environment. You will analyze, document, and improve our acquiring platform, banking rails, and payment infrastructure while coordinating with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications and solution designs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a System Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or Solution Analyst in fintech/banking.
• Strong experience documenting business processes, system integrations, APIs, workflows, and solution logic.
• Solid understanding of payment processing, card acquiring, banking integrations, or financial infrastructure.
• Experience working with software engineers in product teams.
• Proficiency with AWS services and cloud-based architectures.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, document, and improve our acquiring platform, banking rails, and payment infrastructure.
• Translate business requirements into system requirements, technical specs, and solution designs.
• Integrate new payment providers, banking partners, and external services.
• Define system workflows, data flows, API requirements, integration logic, and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with engineering to design solutions for current and future challenges.
• Review API contracts, data models, logs, and code-level logic where needed.
• Support scalability, reliability, automation, and ops efficiency across payment processes.
• Prepare and maintain high-quality documentation including specs, diagrams, and API docs.
• Identify automation opportunities and platform improvements.
• Clarify requirements and validate implementations to align business with tech.
