Job summary

RK Accountancy is seeking a Financial Controller to lead a small finance team and ensure accuracy, timeliness and governance of financial reporting. You will report to the Finance Director and drive robust controls, efficient processes and high-quality management information.

The role covers month-end close, statutory accounts, audit coordination, tax compliance and working capital improvement, with a strong emphasis on automation and AI within Finance.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA credentials.
• Significant experience as Financial Controller or senior finance role.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and audit management experience.
• Proven ability to lead finance teams and communicate with non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly management accounts process and deliver timely results.
• Own month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations and reporting packs.
• Coordinate annual external audit and statutory accounts preparation.
• Oversee VAT, tax compliance and treasury activities.
• Drive automation and process improvements in finance.
