Job summary

National Skills Agency Ltd is recruiting a Recruitment Consultant (Engineering & Construction) for a remote role with visits to clients. The role focuses on launching a new division to supply skilled blue-collar workers into engineering and construction sectors, owning the offering, winning clients and building candidate communities.

You will handle hands-on 360 recruitment, balance business development with account management and candidate delivery, and shape how the division grows.

Qualifications

• Tracks record in 360 recruitment and blueprinting new desks.
• Strong business development and client acquisition skills.
• Ability to initiate conversations via phone and open doors.
• Experience building candidate networks in skills-short markets.
• Comfort negotiating rates, margins and terms.
• Excellent relationship-building and autonomy to work with limited supervision.
• Entrepreneurial mindset to build a desk and future unit.

Responsibilities

• Build a new recruitment desk focused on blue-collar engineering and construction roles.
• Identify and engage employers with ongoing or high-volume recruitment requirements.
• Generate new business through telephone, LinkedIn, networking, referrals and face-to-face meetings.
• Build strong relationships with hiring managers, operational leaders and business owners.
• Understand clients’ immediate labour requirements and longer-term workforce challenges.
• Source, screen and manage candidates across engineering, construction and related technical environments.
• Negotiate rates and terms and develop repeat business beyond one-off placements.
• Collaborate with the wider Group to identify opportunities for broader training and skills solutions.
