Job summary

Hft is seeking an Employee Relations Advisor to join the People Operations team. You will provide guidance and support to managers and employees on ER matters, interpret policies, resolve conflicts and assist with performance management to maintain compliant practices.

The role involves upskilling managers, maintaining case logs, and communicating legislative changes. It is predominantly remote with travel to the North region and requires a UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Interpret policies and manage performance and conflict issues.
• Stay updated on employment laws and company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent ER advice, guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations matters, including policy interpretation, conflict resolution, and performance management
• Be the first point of contact for Leaders and Managers needing advice on all people elements and difficult conversations
• Regularly updating on business area activity to ensure joined up HR service
• Risk assess ER issues and ensure advice aligns with legislation
• Upskill managers to pro-actively minimise ER issues
• Maintain accurate case logs and provide data insights
• Communicate forthcoming legislative changes in good time
• Assist in developing and implementing ER policies and practices
• Stay updated with employment laws and regulations and provide guidance
• Provide coaching and training to managers on ER practices
• Collaborate with People Operations to ensure consistent policy interpretation
• Assist in other HR-related projects as assigned
