Job summary

Cranfield University’s Barrington Library in Shrivenham supports staff and postgraduate students with library resources and services. You will work across back-office tasks, ensuring content is discoverable and accessible through the library catalogue and other systems.

You will also handle orders, interlibrary loans, theses, and reports, and staff the Welcome Desk to respond to enquiries in person and online, with training provided for library systems and procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in library or service environment, preferably in higher education.
• Meticulous attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
• Familiarity with library catalogue systems preferred; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Receipting book orders and handling interlibrary loan requests, theses and reports.
• Staffing the Library Welcome Desk and assisting staff and students both in person and via email/webchat.
