Job summary

SP Energy Networks is recruiting a BOP/Electrical Site Manager to lead on-site delivery in the East Lothian/Dunbar area on a contract basis. The role requires an experienced manager with a BOP or Electrical background to oversee construction outputs during major projects.

You will act as Principal Contractor, ensure regulatory compliance (CDM 2015), manage time and cost of packages, coordinate with Transmission Planners, Engineering Design teams, and HSQE colleagues while maintaining rigorous

Qualifications

• HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Five-day SMSTS qualification or equivalent.
• Significant experience managing transmission construction projects.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and inspection regimes.
• Proven knowledge of NEC conditions of contract and CDM 2015 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site management and delivery of contracted works packages as Principal Contractor.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with Health & Safety Law and CDM 2015.
• Drive time/cost monitoring and commercial management of each work package.
• Coordinate with Transmission Planners, Design Teams, and Operational staff to plan safe work practices.
• Establish robust quality management systems and environmental compliance.
