Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Electrical Design Engineer to contribute to a diverse, global project portfolio. You will design electrical systems for industrial facilities, select components, and produce comprehensive documentation while collaborating across time zones.

The role requires 7+ years in electrical design, proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical and EPLAN, and a strong grasp of international standards. Remote work enables global impact without relocation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical design engineering with international projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical and EPLAN.
• Solid understanding of power systems design, distribution, motor control and industrial automation.
• Familiarity with international electrical codes and standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for remote collaboration.
• Ability to manage workload independently and deliver high-quality results remotely.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed electrical designs including single-line diagrams, schematics, wiring schedules, and panel layouts for international projects.
• Specify and select equipment such as switchgear, transformers, motors, drives, and control systems per global standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across time zones and support sites remotely.
• Prepare design documentation, BOMs, technical reports, and construction support documents.
• Ensure designs comply with IEC, NEC, BS and other international codes and standards.
• Provide remote technical assistance during construction and commissioning and participate in design reviews.
• Stay current with new technologies and design methodologies to propose innovative solutions.
