Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a fully remote, globally distributed engineering team. You will design, analyze, and optimize mechanical systems for automation solutions, coordinating with electrical, software, and controls colleagues in a virtual environment.

You should have a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, 10+ years of design and systems engineering experience, and strong CAD/FEA skills (SolidWorks, Inventor, ANSYS, Abaqus).

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in mechanical design and systems engineering.
• Expertise with CAD and FEA tools.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and mechatronics.
• Excellent communication and remote-work skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualization, design, and implementation of complex mechanical systems for automation solutions.
• Perform detailed engineering analysis, including stress, thermal, and vibration simulations.
• Develop technical documentation, specifications, drawings, and BOM.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, controls) virtually.
• Oversee prototyping, testing, and validation for successful product launches.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers in the remote team.
