E-Resourcing Ltd - Specialist I.T. Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior/Principal Electrical Design Engineer for a fully remote role.

You will own electrical building services design for high-profile commercial and residential fit-out projects from concept to completion. The ideal candidate will have 8–10+ years in electrical building services, strong CAT A/B and residential fit-out experience, and the ability to lead projects autonomously while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of dedicated electrical building services design experience in a consultancy or contractor environment.
• Proven track record delivering commercial CAT A/B and residential fit-out projects.
• Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) and industry standards.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Amtech/ProDesign, and Dialux for design deliverables.
• Fully remote role; candidates must reside within a 21.5‑hour time zone window from London.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services; Chartered status or pursuing CEng/MCIBSE is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead detailed electrical design for CAT A/B commercial fit-outs and high-end residential projects.
• Produce design deliverables: power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarm, security, and communication layouts.
• Perform cable sizing, lighting design (Dialux/Relux), voltage drop and earthing calculations.
• Coordinate MEP services with architects, interior designers and structural teams.
• Draft technical specifications, scopes of work and tender documentation.
• Conduct technical reviews, site surveys and construction-stage monitoring.
• Manage client relationships and lead design meetings to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.
