Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Driver Team Lead to oversee a team of delivery drivers in Randburg and surrounding areas. You will guide, train, and manage schedules to ensure safe, efficient routes and high service standards.

This role offers remote management of the team, strengthening performance through feedback, coaching, and performance reviews, while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in transportation or logistics.
• Strong knowledge of driver operations, scheduling, and compliance.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
• Familiarity with logistics software and performance tracking.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of delivery drivers, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Develop and manage driver schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and adherence to working hours regulations.
• Monitor driver performance, providing regular feedback, training, and performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and traffic laws.
• Investigate and resolve any driver-related issues or customer complaints efficiently.
• Collaborate with dispatch and logistics management to optimise routes and operational efficiency.
