Job summary

Horizon Care, part of Natali Healthcare Solutions, seeks an experienced On-Call Operator for domiciliary care. You will manage out-of-hours calls, coordinate rotas, and support staff remotely, ensuring service continuity and safeguarding compliance.

The role offers flexible remote working and weekend/Bank Holiday coverage on a rota basis. Successful candidates will have domiciliary care experience, strong rota skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure while delivering clear handovers

Qualifications

• Prev. experience in domiciliary care or health & social care.
• Strong rota management and problem-solving skills.
• Calm and confident decision-making under pressure.
• Access to reliable phone and internet during shifts.
• Experience with PASSsystem or Care Planner (Desirable).
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (Desirable).
• Knowledge of CQC requirements (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Handle urgent calls from carers, clients, and professionals.
• Resolve rota issues such as sickness and last-minute cover.
• Monitor visits via PASSsystem and ensure all visits are accounted for.
• Escalate safeguarding or critical concerns as needed.
• Log all calls and actions taken during the shift.
• Deliver clear handovers to the office team.
• Uphold safeguarding and CQC compliance at all times.
